- Will I fit in at Messiah?
Most definitely!!
We have many families, couples, singles, youth and children members and friends within our congregation. The members of our church are diverse but all strive to invite others to belong and become a part of God's family here at Messiah.
All are welcome and invited to participate in our services and ministries. To find out how and where you can join in, click on this question.
- How should I dress when I attend Messiah?
We want you to dress comfortably! While some folk still prefer to dress in more formal wear, most come in very casual dress.
- What is the preaching and teaching like? Will the Pastor scream and yell and make you feel guilty?
Pastor preaches from the heart. He is most concerned about helping you connect God's Word and Love to your daily lives. He may scream or yell, and, on occasion, become very passionate. Pastor does not try to make you feel guilty -- however, if you are "squirming" a little, that may just be the Holy Spirit convicting and nudging!
- When I first visit, will I be singled out in any way?
When you first visit, you will no doubt be warmly welcomed by individuals as you come in the door -- only because they are genuinely happy to see you here. But you will not be embarrassed or singled out in any way. We want you to be comfortable and to enjoy the worship experience.
- When do you hold worship services?
We worship at 8:30 and 11:00 each Sunday morning. We offer Holy Communion at all worship services. Click on this question to find out more.
- Do I have to join in order to participate at Messiah?
No, we welcome everyone -- members, friends, or visitors.
But of course we would love to have you "officially" become a part of the family as well!
