How To Serve
FAITH FORMATION
Messiah understands that discipleship is a life-long process. To facilitate discipleship, the Faith Formation team participates in the following:
`Assist families to be the central unit of faith formation.
`Help disicples identify their God given gifts.
`Encourage life-long learning through study.
`Guide children and youth to become confident followers of Christ.
`Encourage intergenerational relationships for passing on the faith.
`Celebrating faith formation at faith stepping stone events such as baptism, first communion, marriage, and more.
`Nurturing discipleship by encouraging the giving of time and gifts.
`Creating a hospitable, inspirational, caring environment for all who come to Messiah.
SO, if you like to share ideas, teach, play or dig into tough issues, Faith Formation has a place for you!
`Everyone is invited to participate in the age-appropriate events and classes Messiah offers. Simply watch the Event Calendar, Announcements and/or the YOUTHdotcom link to find out more.
`Teachers in various shapes and sizes are always welcomed.
Sunday morning there are opportunities to teach and mentor just about any age group of classes.
Any of these opportunities can be either a short term commitment or longer term.
`There are also opportunities for adults to share with youth in special trips and events.
